Many organizations can benefit from a customized workshop for their board, staff, or both. Workshops can vary from an hour to a couple of days, depending on how much depth is desired. Typically, we suggest 2 to 3 hours be allocated, perhaps at a board retreat or meeting. Because we have previously developed much of the basic material necessary for conducting a workshop, the customization effort can be mitigated.

Our workshops are always interactive. Teaching has its place, but the best learning comes from doing, and often this means large- or small-group exercises customized to fit your mission, organization, and challenges.

We have provided individual training for The Shelk Fund of the Oregon Community Foundation, the League of Oregon Cities, Americorps, Vista, and Kam Wah Chung, as well as for audiences assembled at nonprofit conferences sponsored by Portland State University, the Oregon State Parks Trust, the Oregon Historic Preservation Society, the American Association of Grantwriting Professionals, and Hostelling International.
